HOW TO PLAY
- Solve the equation by entering a calculation which equals the number on the right, and uses all the provided numbers.
- There may be numerous answers to each sum, and any correct equation counts! To help you find an answer, the tiles will turn green when numbers and operators are in the correct place to match one of the possible answers each day.
- Click or tap on the numbers and operator symbols to enter them into the grid.
- Each number can be used only once, and all the provided numbers must be used to reach the target number.
- Each operator (÷, x, +, -) can be used freely.
- Click or tap "enter" to submit your answer.
- All calculations are done in the following order:
- First: All Division, from left to right.
- Then: All Multiplication, from left to right.
- Then: Addition and Subtraction, from left to right in the order they appear.
- For example:
- 8 + 6 x 8 ÷ 4 - 4 ÷ 2 = 18
- 8 + 6 x 8 ÷ 4 - 4 ÷ 2 = 18 (8÷4=2)
- 8 + 6 x 2 - 4 ÷ 2 = 18 (4÷2=2)
- 8 + 6 x 2 - 2 = 18 (6x2=12)
- 8 + 12 - 2 = 18 (8+12=20)
- 20 - 2 = 18 (20-2=18)
- 18 = 18
